India Festival 2025
India Cultural Association of Portland (ICA) is thrilled to announce the return of the annual India Festival at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Held each August to commemorate India’s Independence Day, the festival is free to attend and will run from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. It’s a vibrant, family-friendly celebration set in the heart of downtown Portland.
Join us with your family and friends for a jam-packed day of live music, dance, art, fashion shows, and mouthwatering Indian cuisine. This year’s celebration features more than 80 back-to-back performances, along with new interactive attractions like cricket demos, mehndi (henna) art stations, and opportunities to learn classical dance moves right on site. Drawing over 10,000 visitors annually, the India Festival showcases Portland’s incredible talent and celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage through folk, classical, patriotic, and fusion performances. Don’t forget to bring chairs or a blanket, water, and sun protection—and get ready for a day full of color, tradition, and community spirit!
