The city's largest India Day festival took place on August 24th 2025. India day is a power packed celebration of Indian culture and India’s independence. This event is hosted by the Indian Cultural Association and brings the city together with a full day of performances and fun for people of all ages. From Bollywood to contemporary to classical dances and music that reflect the diversity of Indian culture and the colorful spirit of its independence. The performances are something nobody should miss! The festival also featured local businesses such as Apna Bazaar, India Connection and Swagat which served delicious food from all over India such as Dosa, Samosa, and Kulfi. They had something for everyone to enjoy. India Day Portland is a chance not only to celebrate India’s rich culture and history but also a chance to deepen the connection between India and the Pacific Northwest.
